Students may not arrive at school earlier than 7:40 a.m. Breakfast begins at 7:40 a.m. If students are not eating breakfast they should arrive no earlier than 8:00 a.m. 

Students arriving to school are to go directly to the playground (unless eating breakfast or paying for lunch in which case they go to the cafeteria).  Playground supervision begins at 8:00 a.m.

For safety reasons the upper parking lot - Staff Parking -  (near the Kindergarten playground) is off limits unless handicapped or parking their bike.

Students arriving to school on bike use the staff driveway to walk bike to the  bike rack or the bike rack in front of Charter classrooms.

Please look for the marked pavement that includes drop off lanes and driving lanes in front of Hillsdale Elementary. Please exercise extreme caution when driving around the school during drop off and pick up times During the school day, parents and/or school visitors may utilize the parking lot, if parking spots are available. Parking in a "red curb" area is illegal.

If a student is late, they  must obtain a late pass to report the reason for being late to the school attendance officer. Late students report to the office for a late pass.

At the end of the day, all students exit the school grounds in an orderly manner.

•  If they are a walker, they can exit 3 ways; down the ramp in front of the charter classrooms, the side gate next to the grass area, and walking through the front gates and down the sidewalks.
• If they are a bike rider, they are to exit in front of charter or kindergarten playground.
• If they are being picked up, the student/s may wait on the sidewalk in front of the gates to the school. They should be looking for the adult and not playing around.
• If they are a bus rider, they need to stay with their fellow bus-riders and wait at the front of the school until the bus lets the students enter onto the bus or wait on the curb in front of the school until the bus arrives.
